“The statesmen will invent cheap lies, blaming the nation that is attacked, and every man will be glad of those conscience-soothing falsities, and will diligently study them, and refuse to examine any refutations of them; and thus he will by and by convince himself the war is just and will thank God for the better sleep he enjoys after this process of grotesque self-deception.”
— Mark Twain, The Mysterious Stranger
(Opinion) War, bombings, death, disaster, and one crisis after another have been commonplace across our planet for a very long time.
Whether you’re tuning into CNN or the BBC to get a misinformed perspective of these events or alternative media that covers human rights violations that mainstream media seems to ignore, it can leave one feeling confused, hopeless, and even depressed at times.
The politics concerning these events don’t seem to make any sense, and there doesn’t seem to be any resolution available. It’s like we are stuck in a never-ending cycle of disaster that has led to one giant sense-making crisis.
Based on my research, much of this is not an accident. It’s been done by design. Gone are the days when the majority view the political establishment as something that works for the people.
It’s become nothing short of a cesspool of corruption, far from a system based on morals, ethics, cooperation, and service to others.
One great topic to illustrate just how bad things are regarding our ‘leadership’ is false flag terrorism.
This refers to governments creating, supporting, or staging events, like acts of terrorism in their own country and on their own citizenry, and then blaming it on someone else.
False flag events do not imply that they are not real. Sometimes events can be created and even staged, and others are authentic, yet the deception lies in the narrative we receive.
Either way, in many cases, these events are used for control and/or political and financial gain.

This allows for many things, like the justification for war, surveillance, mandates as we saw with COVID, and the infiltration of foreign lands, not to catch terrorists and ‘save the world,’ but for ulterior motives like resource extraction and installing puppet governments.
Take, for example, Operation Northwoods. This was a plan hatched by the US government in the early 1960s to fool the American public and the international community into supporting a war against Cuba to oust Fidel Castro.
The plan included blowing up a US ship, attacking a US military base, sinking and blowing up boats of Cuban refugees, hijacking planes, and orchestrating violent terrorism in multiple US cities against American citizens.
And, of course, blaming Cuba for these actions. This plan never came to fruition.
Numerous examples of fake evidence and smear campaigns have been propagated to eliminate undesirable governments and foreign leaders throughout history.
For example, a document titled “Syria: Scenarios of Dramatic Political Change,” written in July of 1986 by the Foreign Subversion and Instability Center, part of the CIA’s Mission Center for Global Issues, outlines the agency’s mission to analyze “several possible scenarios that could lead to the ouster of President Assad or other dramatic change in Syria.”
Wikileaks has also published several classified cables, many showing how the primary goal of US foreign policy was to destabilize the Syrian government, among others.
These destabilization efforts are carried out with little regard for their impact on civilians, often caught in the crossfire. Often civilians are used to ramping up death counts.
Though the document is 25 years old, it shows that the US plans to influence and infiltrate Syria to create change that would suit their interests date back well over 30 years.
Did we see this attempt come to fruition again in 2016 and 2017?
During this time, multiple chemical weapons gas attacks in Syria were blamed on the Syrian government, but something was off.
The Syrian government accused the US and the western military alliance of perpetrating these attacks, and so did others, like the Russian government.
In many cases, it was claimed that some of these ‘attacks’ were staged entirely, with crisis actors being used, both adults and children.
Riam Dalati, a well-known BBC Syria producer, was one of the hundreds crying false flags.
This story complements a lot of other statements and investigations.
An interesting report by Robert Fisk, a multi-award-winning Middle East correspondent of The Independent and a journalist who risked his life to visit Syria at the time, expressed the same sentiments.
Eva Barlett was another.
Along with these actions come smear campaigns against these foreign governments. These governments are imperfect, but in many cases, what we hear from western media regarding Syria or Russia, for example, isn’t always a clear picture.
“Readers should be aware that this is not the only story in Douma. Many people I talked to amid the town’s ruins said they had “never believed in” gas stories – which were usually put about, they claimed, by the armed Islamist groups.”
— Robert Fisk
These “Islamist groups” have long been funded and created by the western military alliance, particularly the United States.
“There is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al-Qaeda, and any informed intelligence officer knows this. But, there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an intensified entity representing the ‘devil’ only to drive TV watchers to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the United States.”
– Robin Cook, Former British Foreign Secretary
The support from the United States Government became so rampant that in 2017, Tulsi Gabbard and Rand Paul created a bill to “prohibit the use of United States Government funds to provide assistance to Al Qaeda, Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and to countries supporting those organizations, and for other purposes.”
“We are dealing with a criminal undertaking at a global level . . . and there is an ongoing war, the United States leads it, it may be carried out by several proxy countries, which are obeying orders from Washington . . .”
“The global war on terrorism is a US undertaking, which is fake; it’s based on fake premises. It tells us that somehow America and the Western world are going after a fictitious enemy, the Islamic state, when in fact the Islamic state is fully supported and financed by the Western military alliance and America’s allies in the Persian Gulf. . . .”
— Dr. Michel Chossudovsky, Canadian economist, the University of Ottawa’s Emeritus Professor of Economics.
A statement was made at the International Conference on ‘New World Order’ organized by the Perdana Global Peace Foundation at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre on March 9, 2015.
9/11 could be one of the best examples of false flag terrorism, but the evidence that has led most people to feel this sentiment has not seen the light of day within the mainstream.
It’s been labeled a conspiracy theory.
I remember the now-retired four-star US General Wesley Clark, former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO.
He revealed to the world that the United States is indeed funding these terrorist organizations and that the US has had plans to destabilize multiple countries for no good reason, simply for more power and control.
There are many similarities between 9/11 and COVID; in my mind, COVID has been a clear act of bioterrorism by the same entities who proposed the ‘solution.’
These included vaccine mandates, mask mandates, and more, which we will likely see resurface again.
Note, it’s not that COVID didn’t exist or that 9/11 didn’t happen; the details around them create a narrative.
Below is a great, well-known quote from Smedley D. Butler, the highest ranking (at the time) Marine General, which provides insight into how history hasn’t changed and that this has been the way of the elite for a very long time:
“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service, and during that period, I spent most of my time as a high-class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street, and the bankers.”
“In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914.”
“I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues. I helped in raping half a dozen Central American republics to benefit Wall Street.”
“I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912.”
“I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903.”
“In China in 1927, I helped see that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”
– Smedley Butler, War Is A Racket
Today, intelligence agencies directing the coverage of American and international news organizations, overthrowing democratically elected governments, and establishing propaganda outfits to manipulate public sentiment are the norm.
And it’s going well beyond terrorism and other issues like climate change, pandemics, and more.
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in a democratic society.”
“Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.”
— Edward Bernays, Propaganda 1921
We saw the same tactics of propaganda that have been used regarding ‘”terrorist attacks” during COVID. What will we see next?
(Joe Rogan & Michael Malice Are Stunned by the New Jan 6th Footage Released by Tucker Carlson
How often is our perception of major geopolitical (and other) events manipulated to serve the political elite?
“The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government, which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states, and nation . . .”
“The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for selfish purposes. They practically control both parties . . . [and] control the majority of the newspapers and magazines in this country.”
“They use the columns of these papers to club into submission or drive out of office public officials who refuse to do the bidding of the powerful corrupt cliques which compose the invisible government.”
“It operates under cover of a self-created screen [and] seizes our executive officers, legislative bodies, schools, courts, newspapers and every agency created for the public protection.”
— John F. Hylan, Mayor of New York City from 1918-1925, Autobiography of John Francis Hylan, Mayor of New York
The good news is that manipulating human consciousness and our perception of significant events that have taken place and will take place is becoming much harder to do.
More and more people are beginning to see ‘odd’ things as they did with COVID and 9/11.
It’s a commonplace for people to completely disagree with governments’ actions to combat these problems and the explanations we are given for how they begin.
We must remember actions like lockdowns and vaccine mandates can ultimately only be carried out if a significant minority or majority of people see these actions as ethical and necessary.
It’s becoming much more complicated for governments to implement plans under the guise of goodwill that people see as harmful rather than beneficial.
