The expenses of Brazilians abroad were US$1.246 billion in January this year, informed this Friday (24.) the BC (Central Bank).
The result is 80.5% higher than the one registered in the same period of 2022 when Brazilians spent US$690 million.
Foreigners’ income in Brazil totaled US$604 million in the first month of 2023, an increase of 43.3% compared to January of the previous year.
According to the BC, both spending by Brazilians abroad and revenues by foreigners in Brazil are on a “trajectory of return to pre-pandemic” levels.
