Landless organizations’ recent invasions of productive land should not surprise anyone, much less the still-incipient Lula government.
It was announced in the middle of the campaign by leaders of the movement, such as João Pedro Stédile of the MST (Landless Rural Workers Movement), that they would occur more frequently in case of the PT’s electoral victory.
Some, however, still treat the resumption of the invasions as an apparent contradiction.
