Brazil: Central Bank articulates international Pix with 4 LatAm countries

The Central Bank (BC) president, Roberto Campos Neto, said the international Pix project is being discussed with Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, and Ecuador.

The declarations of the head of the autarchy were given this Monday (27) in an event promoted by the Brazilian Institute of Teaching, Development, and Research in Brasília.

According to Campos Neto, the idea would be to assemble a block of Latin American countries that can make instant transactions following Pix’s model.

“We are thinking about how to make the Pix international,” he said.

“Some Latin American countries are already discussing how they will adopt Pix . . .
