At least eight people, including four children, were killed on Sunday (12) in Manaus (the capital of the northern Brazilian state of Amazonas) by landslides caused by heavy rains.
The landslides hit a dozen houses in the Jorge Teixeira neighborhood in the eastern part of Manaus.
Rescue workers continue their search Monday amid suspicions that several more people may be buried under the mudslides.
